    Gotcha, MGR
Yeah, I get that big time MGR.

It really is not just the meal, is it? It is also the surroundings, the place, the time and the atmosphere. Also, how you feel at the time. All these things add up to turn an average or good meal into a great one. Let me place a bet and say my omelette and your homemade stew have never tasted better since? Oh, and yes, I have made the same dish at home and it is not so good. I reckon that means next trip out, a new dish and new dreams…….

    Thanks Darren
Thanks for that Darren. I agree the spaghetti bolognese or curry is lovely too, but last week camping and having suffered a wet night with the rain I had breakfast of bacon lardons fried in oil, then an egg/grated cheese mix with salt and pepper poured in and a nice big omelette for breakfast. That was a great start to the day and one I shall have again and again….it will go on my list af favourites.

    And Another Thing…..
Is there anything better than the good old boil-in-the-bag rice? It is a one pot meal as you boil the rice in water, pour the water into the bucket ready for use in washing up, then open the ring pull top can of chilli, add to the pot and warm up and serve in the one same pot! How is that for simple, easy and tasty?

Oh – other meals are readily available………..

    No Vw, only a tent
    Hiya Fuzzyfreak,

Although I have no VW, I wish you the best of luck with your efforts. Can I just ask that if any of your events have spaces for non-VW vans, or even tents, that you post details for us guys and girls to see. I know there are a few of us that could well be interested in any such events.

    All the best,

    How did it go, MGR?
    MGR,

Just reading through some of the old posts again and I realise I have been both forgetfull and a little rude. You mentioned in one post that the last week of June and the first week of July you were off to the south of France. I apologise for not asking before, how did it go? Was it a new area for you to visit or places well known? I ask because it sounds fun and exciting and I guess the weather was much kinder there than here in the wet UK.
