About CamperVanLife.com

Camper Van Life has lots of information about camper vans, motorhomes, camping in Europe and building your own camper van.

The web site is based around my 9 month journey through Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal in 2006 and 2007, living in a camper van, exploring cities, towns and beaches.

I have put together lots of information which I hope will help you.

Location information

I have included information about most of the places I have visited. I have listed information that might be of use to you, such as where to park, where to camp for free, campsite reviews and other things that could help you if you visit the same place.

Vehicles

I have created a guide to building your own camper van, as I did this.
I have also included information about buying a camper van, as I have done a lot of research and have a good mechanical background.

Living in a camper van

I have included information about what it is like living in a camper van. This should help you decide whether this sort of living is for you, or not.

Blog

I kept a regular (nearly daily) blog of my journey. You can read this as it may give you some ideas of where to go.

Photographs

I took many photographs on my journey. These may help you to get ideas for where you would like to go.

About Darren

I have worked in the IT industry for many years.  Whilst an interesting and rewarding industry, I grew tired of doing a 9 til 5 (well 8 till 8 quite often), and moved more into working online.  You can read about my Ford Mustang road trip through California, Nevada and Arizona.
