Caravan Solutions Limited
Hiya, Richard B,I have been looking around the net and trying to find parts for a van conversion I am about to undertake, and I came across a site called Caravan Solutions Limited that listed 12V/240V transformer/charger units made by a company called Power Part. I know this sounds a little obvious, but perhaps if the van has a few years on it since it was converted this could be a discontinued product? Their site has contact details for help, so hopefully they could be of help to you. The placement of the unit in your drawing certainly looks like some of the products they sell….
Hope this is of some help,
Andy P.
Andy PParticipantDoggy Seat
The doggy seat I have read about is total d-i-y job, where a sheet of wood is cut to the same shape as fits snugly from seat back to door and dashboard. This shape is then cut in two and joined with hinges to allow for easier storage and the end that sits against the dashboard has a hinged leg that swings down for support. Then it is fit the doggy seat belt and spread out the smelly dog blanket for the dog to lay on. It just sounds a bit big and hard to store easily ( perhaps bungee strapped to the back of the seats? ) and also it seems a bit hard for the poor dog to travel on – I am after a more “deluxe” version for my pampered pup, but am stuck for ideas at the moment……Andy PParticipantDoggy Seat

Thanks for your words of advice. I have been leaning toward the no bulk head version of van, and can easily see how the taking of a dip in the sea could work well for me. I also like the idea of the cab area and living area to be one. I will, however, be travelling with my dog and have read that a simple fold out type area to double the passenger seat area, complete with doggy seat belt, is good for the larger dog such as my Lab. I don’t suppose any of you guys have experience with doggy transport?Andy PParticipantCheers, guys
