Aha – finally got the photo
OK, so I have finally gotten the photo of my pampered pup uploaded onto the web site. I shall be posting further questions in the relevant areas later, as I have found at last a nice transit ready for conversion and shall be looking at it within the next week. Thanks to all for your help so far…Andy P

I am a new boy, I haven’t even purchased a camper yet. But if some of you guys could offer me a bit of info, I would really appreciate it.1. What is the average cost of insurance for a converted ford transit 2.8 engine, 15 years old with a 55 year old driver.????? A rough idea would help.
2. If I was to take this camper down to the south of France, with the engine running well, how much would I have to pay out in petrol, one way???? (ie) how many gallons to the mile???
Regards

2. Calais to
1. £2002. Calais to Montpellier is 640 miles.
It seems a Petrol 2.8 does 18mpg. So 640 div 18 = 35 gallons, = 158 liters
158 @ £1.3 = £205A diesel engine does around 30mpg. So 640 div 30 = 22 gallons, = 99 liters
99 @ £1.4 = £139Fuel is a little cheaper in France, so I have used those figures.
