Madrid day 3 – A sunny and rainy day, Spain

Steve and I struggle yet again to find the perfect setting for breakfast, but settle on somewhere adequate. It surprises me that in a city such as Madrid, in the area we are staying in, which has the majority of bars and cafes, that it is difficult to find a nice café selling good coffee and cakes in the morning.

Anyway, after breakfast I take a stroll over to the Prado museum.

It surprises me that in a city such as Madrid, in the area we are staying in, which has the majority of bars and cafes, that it is difficult to find a nice café selling good coffee and cakes in the morning.

Anyway, after breakfast I take a stroll over to the Prado museum. It is the showpiece museum in Madrid, and is good, although I do prefer the National Gallery in London and the L’Ouvre in Paris. There are some great classic Spanish paintings within.

After the Prado I take a stroll across the massive park that it neighbours. I take a stroll down towards Grand Via, a large road with lots of shops. I take a look in the H & M store but decide to not buy anymore clothes on the trip.

I head back to the hotel. I do some work, and then take a walk around the Sol area of the city. I stop at a pharmacists and finally get some ointment for my cold sore.

I take another walk around the city, stopping for a nice coffee.

In the evening I work on a new internet idea, and get a good deal of work done.

We head out again for beers in the evening.
