Steve and I walk a long way east and south across the city. It’s nice to see a different part of the area. We catch a metro back to the centre.
Steve and I get vodka and mixers from the Lidl store close to our hotel. We start drinking in preparation for our Friday night out. Steve starts drinking quickly and before soon he is pretty drunk. I have to motivate him to get out the door. We eventually get out into the town at around 1am. The area we intended to visit is pretty much closing. Steve pulls out some strange behaviour throughout the night, obviously fuelled by the booze. We eventually return to our part of town. Whilst having a beer Steve chats to 2 Irish girls. We end up chatting and moving onto another bar, where I get stitched up with the bill (although when I mention it to Steve the following day he insists on giving me half) and then onto a night club, which is terrible. The girls, who we have been getting along with very well, go to the toilets. When they return they say they are going to go home. We say our goodbyes and we head back ourselves. We are not sure what happened in the night club, but it was a bit of a downer for us all.
