    Cheers Darren. Will get on
Cheers Darren. Will get on and order some stuff.
Going to get this 300w inverter http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Electrical/Extension+Leads+RCDs/Power+Inverter+300w/d190/sd2470/p18128
Can I cut off the crocodile clips and connect the cables straight onto the leisure battery? If yes what do I use?
Also do you know of a cheap battery charger so I can charge from mains when on sites?

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes my fridge is also 240v.
So no need for fuse box.
    Setup – Van battery – Split charge relay – 16mm2 cable – 100amp fuse – 16mm2 cable – leisure battery – inverter – fridge.
    Does that sound right now??
Will probably but 2 way extension lead on so can charge phone/laptop at same time. I could also use a rcd to make sure its safe. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/RCD+Adaptor/p12514
Now just to throw something else into the mix – As I will be using the van for work (builder) between trips could I do away with the 100amp fuse and put one of these in its place? http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CGMSF100.html
When working I do not need to use the leisure battery so I can switch the charge off when not required therefore saving my vans alternator. I will switch on occasionally to keep the leisure battery fresh.
One other thing, what type and where to buy a leisure battery from??
Top man Darren. Thanks for help. Would be totally lost without this website!!

    Thanks Darren. I already have
Thanks Darren. I already have a small fridge which I was hoping to use. It has 12v lighter adapter but I was going to run it off a 240v socket. The fridge is 12v 60 watt so I hope a 110ah battery will keep it running for a fair while!?
With the 12v fuse box you recommend, how do i get from this to a 240v socket?
Also what cable from leisure battery to fuse?
    Is this setup correct –
    Van battery – split charge relay – 16mm2 cable – 100amp fuse(can you reccomend?) – 16mm2 cable – leisure battery – ???? – 12v fuse box – ???? – 240v socket.
Thanks again for your time. Hope to get sorted in the next few weeks then set off somewhere hot!

    Cheers Darren. Think I will
Cheers Darren. Think I will do it as you say. Will probably get my sparky friend to help! I just have a couple of questions I hope you will be able to help with – Do I need to fuse the leisure battery? How long does the battery last – will I be able to run a small fridge constantly if driving for approx 1-2hrs a day? Cheers
