Hi guys and gals!
Just looking for views on stealth camping in carparks/sides of roads in spain/portugal.
I have a van which from the outside looks like any builders van. When sleeping inside is it wise to put a notice in the front to let others know i am asleep in the back?
Thinking about parking tickets/clamps. If someone knows you are in the back they are more likely to wake you then clamp you? Or is advertising the fact you are in the back just looking for trouble?
Please let me know your opinions/experience!
Many thanks

Many roads in Spain certainly have lay byes you can park overnight in unhindered. Just park up with the truckers…Same goes for most European countries.January 10, 2012 at 8:47 pm #137525mgroadsterParticipantMany roads in Spain certainly

Parking and sleeping in a vehicle is much easier in Spain and Portugal than in the UK.
Don’t put notices in the front. Don’t draw any attention to yourself. Motorways and busy areas can have some trouble when wild camping. Try and avoid them. Truck stops can be OK.
Better places to camp are in beach car parks, and there are some official Aires provided by the councils.January 17, 2012 at 1:34 pm #137547DarrenKeymasterParking and sleeping in a
