Transmission and exhaust

I fitted a new centre piece to the exhaust today. The existing one wasn’t too bad, but the baffles had come loose, and where making a very irritating noise. People where giving me some funny looks as I drove by them.

I also replaced the gear box oil.

I also replaced the gear box oil. The recommended oil type was changed by Mercedes, so unless one knows what is already in the gear box, which I didn’t, one has to replace it, which I did. I also managed to get the differential top-up plug out, which I couldn’t before. I used a torque wrench as a massive lever. I feel more reassured with those jobs done.
