Peniche, sunny, surf, jobs on the van

It has been sunny for about 5 days now. I have just realised I have not updated this blog for nearly a week! I had a little surf this morning, but the swell didn’t last very long. I painted all of the areas on the van that had showed signs of rust, as well as all the wheel arches, as a preventative measure. I had already prepared the areas for painting yesterday.

I have been in Peniche for nearly a month. A few days ago I noticed a good chemical toilet in a town nearby. I will get it on Monday, and then start free camping here in Peniche. There are a few vans parked in the corner of Baleal car park. Quite different to the 30 or so vans that were in the car park when I first arrived. The weather here is still good, and the flexibility of the beaches is great, so whilst I am keen to move on, I am also keen to stay and surf.

Peter, Vanessa, Martin, Angela and myself had drinks at the bar early. It was lovely sitting in the sunshine sipping ice cold beer. That is something I could get used to this winter!
