After lunch the weather gets better. There are more smiles around the car park at Baleal. I have a surf at the east end of Baleal beach, it is a little crowded, but good enough to catch some waves.
Afterwards I watch the surfers at Lagide. Some really big sets come through and there are a lot of collisions. There are a lot of kayakers there. They have many advantages over surfers, with being able to paddle so quickly. They catch a lot of waves well.
I speak to James, the guy from Bristol again, as he parked behind. I have a BBQ and beers with him and his girlfriend Kate in the evening, and stay in the car park, even though I am checked into the campsite.
