Sightseeing in Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain

I decide to stay another night in the campsite, despite the cost. After lunch I cycle into Toledo. The streets are very steep and twisty. I find my way to the Cathedral, chain my bike to a post, and get a map from the Turismo.

The city is stunning, with many beautiful buildings and atmospheric streets.

The city is stunning, with many beautiful buildings and atmospheric streets. The El Greco museum is closed for refurbishment, but some of the paintings are at another gallery. I go and see them. There are only a few, and I am a little disappointed. I spend more time walking around the city. The important buildings don’t really stand out as everything has a similar colour and appearance. There are many very grand buildings. Heavy rains start, and I take cover in a café with a beer. When the rains have cleared I walk around the other half of the city. After walking many streets and hills I head back to the square and collect my bike.

I ride back to the campsite and relax in the evening.
