Peugeot Boxer Campervan

After eventually getting a log book I set about assertaining what the problem was with the engine, hey presto cannot turn engine over by hand so SEIZED.. Now what was I going to do. After many a hour trolling through the net – ebay etc,and making various phone calls and enquiries I decided to get a 2nd hand engine was the best option.

Located engine ok it’s a 2.8 non turbo thinking there can’t be any difference if any from the 2.5….. How wrong I was, after removing engine and gearbox from vehicle and then splitting them apart, I started to find diference’s till I had quite a list…. at this point I was close to just kneeling down and crying !!!!!

Also found that off side front chassi leg just behind engine mount corroded and holed so require’s repairing, and metal brake pipes from brake master cylinder heavily corroded along route under bulkhead and floor pan, so more work to do before refitting?? of engine.

Now making enquiries for other possabilities – trying to decide what to do…at moment..
