  2. Going to be buying a van today
Today i am going to be buying a van and hope to convert it for the summer. This book would help me loads. It is an ex civil defence van. Down the side has facing the challenges of a challenging world.

Also did i mention it is yellow !!!! I am from Cork Ireland.

  3. Renault Trafic conversion
    Hello,

My name is Al and I am looking at converting a Renault Trafic for a 6 month long road trip through Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. I come from Australia originally, but I am currently in Paris. Before that I was living in Duesseldorf, Germany for the last 3 years.. I decided that i want to work a bit less and see a bit more of this lovely continent. I need a suitable means for getting around and the Renault Trafic appears to offer all I need in terms of power, size, economy.

I have a car. Now for the conversion.Being a rookie, i think the guide would help the end product to not resemble something like homer simpson’s attempts at building a spice rack. http://martialartslatestart.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/homer1.png?w=320&h=242

  4. planning a convertible conversion
Bristol area. Had a VW Devon conversion in the mid 90’s & did some big Euro trips. Now looking to convert a larger base van with good headroom. I want removable fittings to allow simple conversion between camper van and removals van.

  5. hi, i live in edinburgh and
hi, i live in edinburgh and am just about to start converting a lwb, high top transit,,
not got any photos yet as waiting for van to come…

  6. BOOK
I just bought a campervan and I just don’t have a clue how things work inside. Had the van MOT’d recently and the garage disconnected my leisure battery… it made me think… i wish I knew how to fix and build things myself so I can go travelling with peace of mind. I don’t have a lot of money and I am getting too old to fluttter my eyelashes for help but where to start? This book seems to be a good start. Fingers crossed!

  7. Campervan
I have just bought my mini bus! but I don’t really know where to start with the conversion ???

  8. Converting a Transit van LWB Hi roof
I have started my conversion with 2 single beds. As I still use my van for work, the main camper conversion is yet to happen. As we live in Oz there is so much to see in our “Great Outdoors” , that I can hardly wait to get my project underway. I really need more ideas before I do anymore. Bob

  9. Van conversion with pop top
Hi, I’m looking at converting a Mazda bongo/ford Freda from an 8 seat mpv into a campervan, mainly because of the option of a factory fitted poptop

I don’t have space for a bigger van, but need sleeping for more than 2 so we can take our daughter along…

    We live in Stevenage

  10. Competition Entry
Would love to convert my son’s Mercedes Van as it would be very useful for the weekends he races his car at the various tracks around the UK. We live in the north of Scotland and overnight accomodation is always necessary.

  11. 1979 bay
    Hi there
I’v just bought a 1979 VW bay, she’s called Ruby. She’s a grand old gal but needs a bit of TLC especially the electrics, there is a leisure battery and an inverter installed but can’t quite seem to get it all to work the way I want it to. The pop top roof has also seen better days and I’m toying with the idea of maybe converting to a sunroof. I’m hoping to have her ready to go travelling round the uk for starters in the spring and this book would hopefully provide me with ideas as to how to go about upgrading Ruby’s interior .

  12. vw t25 conversion
Hi there.I bought a 1982 vw t25 pannel van 2 years ago.Ive fitted windows all round.Full width rock n roll bed.Cupboards, wardrobe etc.Small sink and plumbed in water.Still to fit leasure battery and split charger.Plan on fittinh a fridge, halogen roof lights, flip down tv etc.I fitted a hi-top roof taking it from a 2 berth to a 5 berth.Another year should do it i hope.

  13. Currently have a home
Currently have a home converted transit. My daughter has the same sort of van. Both home converted.

  14. DIY conversion
Am currently looking around for a panel van to convert, not too big. Have previously owned VW ‘campingbus’ and type 25. Have been reading up on conversions and am planning to keep it light weight to minimise fuel consumption. Am thinking of getting a van with tail lift so I can fit an awning when parked, put cooker etc across back and stand in awning to use it. That way I don’t have to worry about the height of the vehicle. Had my share of leaky pop tops and high tops that won’t get in car parks etc in the past.

  15. MOROCCO HERE WE COME
Just bought a Mercedes 709D Crew cab–9 seats with aluminium workshop on the back.Have cleared the workshop and cut through from the cab, insulation in ,including floor, windows in and just planning the interior.Perfect for Morocco as very simple lorry type engine and chassis–I live in Morbihan–anyone with a camper or truck want to join us after Xmas for a trip south ??[we are a bit GUNG HO !]
