    All fridges pull 4 to 5 times power to start than when running and will not run without a good solar systems to keep the voltage high. I agree with Darren you need 12.6 volts or more because the fridge will drop the voltage on start up to just over 12 volts and usually stop working at 11.9 volts.

    Hi, I know this is late with a response but it may help others.
    pv cable is uva resistant and rodent proof which is why you should always use it.
    MC4 connectors are reliable and waterproof with a maximum of 35 amps and only give trouble with internal contacts moving if disconnected puling on the pv wiring.
    MC4 connectors can be cable tied under the solar panel venting gap to make them waterproof.
