A night out in Lagos, Algarve, Portugal

It is Craig’s birthday today. We go for a night out in Lagos. We get pretty drunk, but have a good night. Joe’s Bar was a pretty seedy, but fun place, with quite a few good looking girls there. We also went to an Irish Pub, which is the least Irish establishment I have ever been in.

I have grown tired of Sagres, and the beaches like Mareta and Beliche.

I have grown tired of Sagres, and the beaches like Mareta and Beliche. We seem to constantly go on this triangle of a drive between Sagres, Amado and Arrifana, using lots of fuel and never finding anywhere great to surf. When chatting with Craig the other evening he mentioned that Steve, a German guy I had met before, had spent the last week at Barranco, with chest high waves, and almost no one else there. I then realise that I have neglected the south coast, forgetting everything I have learnt with Tom and Flo. Craig and I have decided to go to Barranco after the New Year. We will stay down there for a week or so, and just see what happens. We also started keeping notes of the conditions at various beaches in certain swell heights and wind directions.

The weather has become warm again. But I am finding myself getting bored. I need to be surfing several times a day to keep myself occupied. Without the surfing my trip becomes something a bit lacking. I find myself tempted to fly to Mexico!
