1st day

29/8/09

Woke up to a glorious morning, opened the curtains and the sea looked great. Mark had been up a while and was having a cuppa and reading the paper. We needed to purchase a ticket for the day so bought a 24hr one knowing we were going to stop another night for a fiver – great value!

Woke up to a glorious morning, opened the curtains and the sea looked great. Mark had been up a while and was having a cuppa and reading the paper. We needed to purchase a ticket for the day so bought a 24hr one knowing we were going to stop another night for a fiver – great value!

What looked like a stealth camper turned up and a guy got out with a surf board and went straight into the sea. We watched him for ages it looked like great fun, I’ve never tried it before but might be tempted. He came out after about 40mins and sai he had had a great surf.

We had breakfast and decided to walk into whitby it was very busy. Rider was tired so we got the bus back and made dinner in the camper. Our fridge is a gas one and seems very good at keeping things cold, we ve used it and the cooker every weekend we’ve been away and the gas hasn’t run out yet, although being novices i’m not sure how long it usually lasts anyway. Played on the beach for all afternoon and then went to the local pub for fish and chips and a drink.

When we got back to the camper another 2 campers had tuned up. During the night when I went to the toilet I noticed that there was a lovely light coming from one of the campers it looked like a chandelier!
