Vila Praia de Ancora

I take a look in the town. There are a few shops and cafes. I drive to Praia de Afife and paddle out to the guys from the campsite. The sea is rough and waves are big. I takes me two attempts to paddle out, the second time using the rip. I don’t catch any waves as it is too much for me. It is nice sitting behind the break and watching the big waves roll by.

We get caught inside a couple of times and the crashing waves are tough. One of the guys from Devon has a real bad wipeout and his leash breaks and his board washes up on the shore.

That evening I have a beer with the German couple and chat for a while.
