Palace of Versailles

Thiago, Carlos and I decide to go to Palace of Versailles, the home of the last French King. We catch the Metro to Les Sables, which is the closest Metro to where I have parked my van. The van is still there, with no parking ticket and no damage. I am very relieved.

I drive to Versailles.

I drive to Versailles. The Palace site is massive, definitely the biggest building I have been in, second only to the L’ouvre. We see the many rooms. We buy supplies at the super market and make a big picnic. We take a walk in the gardens, which are beautiful. The weather is still great.

Thiago, Carlos and I have had a great time together and it is sad to say goodbye. I hope to meet Carlos in Porto, and Thiago in Italy.

I drive out of Paris and towards Caen, towards the Normandy coast. I stay at a rest area.
