Ta-Dah! All stained and varnished and looking pretty good if I say so myself. Those bubbles on the shelf edge ironed out by the way. The handle and cabinet stay came from my stock in the workshop but you should be able to get similar stuff from Screwfix quite cheaply. The magnetic catch isn’t quite man enough to hold the door closed when travelling so I later added a “hook and eye” arrangement.
