I bought a Citroen Dispatch 2.0 (2002) to convert to a camper. The van’s small but big enough, just over 6′ long in the back with 2 sliding doors and back barn type doors. I am intending to fit a 6′ bed/couch along one side with storage space below and a narrow kitchen unit using a Smev 9222 sink/stove with gas, water, waste water and some storage below. I want to keep the length of the van for carrying items such as bikes and diy stuff while not being used as a camper, so I’m not fitting the rock & roll style bed. Also I need a van to commute to work in winter, about 50 miles per day,(I commute by motorbike in summer) so larger vans would be a bit expensive for fuel. I have found the Dispatch van does about 44 to the gallon on my commute on mixed motorway and rural roads.
