Well, its been a while since I last blogged. Things were quiet over winter we didn’t go camping at all! I got married 4 weeks ago and we asked for money for presents. We had already decided that we might try and upgrade “Sully” our camper so thought that the money would go towards this.
Thank goodness we did, we went out in the camper to Sandsend as usual 2 weeks ago and when we put the pop top up, it was broken! The clip to keep it closed keeps flying open, it was very wet and soggy up there and one of the seals was broken. The heater had already broken over winter and the electrics were starting to play up. We decided there and then rather than spend anymore money doing it up we would try and get a newer camper.
Mark sold his motorbike, we pooled out savings, borrowed soome money off marks parents and are now the proud owners of a ford Herald Swift motorhome! it is so spacious I love it, the only problem is parking as we live on a small terraced back alley with no parking, still who cares hopefully it’ll never be there we’ll be away so much! We drove it home today and have already booked two nights in a CL on a little farm near castleton for this weekend. Can’t wait. I guess I’ll have to change my avatar now:) BTW on tyhe way to collect our new addition to the family the indicators failed to work and the back lights went so definitely made right decision.
