Ice on the windscreen, but a sunny day – Sagres, The Algarve, Portugal

I woke at 8 am to find ice all over the windscreen. Well, it’s a bit colder than I was expecting. I stayed in bed, reading, until the sun was across the windscreen. My thermometer read 3 degrees. I had a big coffee, and a big bowl of banana porridge, which warmed me and the van up. Quickly the day warmed, and I went for a long walk around to Tonel.

I came back to the van, walked over to the harbour, which was a nice sight, and then called by Grandmother. I took another walk to Tonel. There was a nice little wave there, a few surfers out, but it all seemed a bit cold to me. I cooked some food and spent the afternoon relaxing.

I sent Craig a text, and he replied saying the Alentejo had good surf, and no other surfers. Tomorrow I will head up and meet them.
