El Palmar, Cabo Trafalgar, Andalucía, Spain

The overnight rain stops and the day becomes much nicer. Steve and Miko have a surf at El Palmar, but I decline. Later I go to Cabo Trafalgar.

I sit and do some work when I see Heather, the girl I met the other day, arrive with Thomas, the Dutch guy, and Simon. I go over and chat, and Heather and I chat for a while.

I sit and do some work when I see Heather, the girl I met the other day, arrive with Thomas, the Dutch guy, and Simon. I go over and chat, and Heather and I chat for a while. I leave them all to have lunch, and go back to my van and continue working. When Heather is leaving to drive to work she stops her car and says goodbye to me. Things are going well, tomorrow I will ask her if she’d like to go for a drink.

Later in the afternoon I go for a surf at Trafalgar. The waves are small and clean, but the strong offshore winds and the large number of people in at the break mean it is difficult to get waves. I call it quits and get out. Steve is on the beach. It is the first time he has been to that area. I am keen to have another surf, and after coffee and Magdalenas we head off to El Palmar.

El Palmar is very windy and there is no chance of a surf. Steve and Miko are both leaving tomorrow to travel to Portugal, although not together. We get some beers and have a small farewell party.
