Wiring and Gas installation in a campervan.
Firstly, your camper looks great and if I could build something near the standard of your van I’d be really happy.
I’ve had a thought of building a campervan for about 18 months the only thing stopping me is the fear of all the Electrical and Gas installation involved in the build. How did you find it ?, seems like a daunting task to me. If I could get past this stage of the build I’m confident that the woodwork side of things would go quite well.
I’ve narrowed the choice of van down to a Sprinter or a VW lt as I borrowed an old T4 2.5TDI a while back and they seemed quite economical.
From a bodywork point of view a Renault Master may be a better bet, but I’m not sure of how reliable they are.
Any advice regarding the installation of Electric and Gas and the choice of van would be much appreciated.

Camping is fairly
Hi Michelle
Camping is fairly popular here in Europe. Lots of campsites, especially in France where it is very popular.
I always tried to stay in campsites in cities for safety reasons. Sometimes I would stealth camp in small cities.
What are you 2015 plans?
Camping in Europe
Hi Darren,
I’ve always loved the idea of touring Europe in a Sprinter. We are currently planning a Pan-American Hwy trip in 2015 but I like to look towards the future for potential trips. 🙂 Anyhow I heard that camping wasn’t very popular in Europe just wanted to hear about your experience. Did you mostly stealth camp in cities?
Thanks for the great website and ideas!
Michelle
