Mount Folly Farm campsite is just up the hill from Bigbury beach. A family run campsite based on the farm. It’s outrageous views allow you to take in the local scenery, whilst with a little walk you can be on the beach.
We wandered around the cauliflower fields, explored an old ruin and check out some old farm machinery. An interesting place to be.

The toilet and shower facilities were pretty bad, but they have a wonderful building housing vending machines with their own farm milk, milkshakes and ice cream, as well as other local produce.

Bigbury beach is home to Burgh Island, an interesting place with a wonderful sea tractor.

We paid £36 in January 2026, for a Motorhome with electric hookup, for 2 adults and 2 children.
Good
- Incredible views
- Walkable to Bigbury beach
- Great vending machines with local produce including their own farm milk.
- Friendly farming family
Bad
- Expensive, in winter at least
- Facilities are poor condition
Verdict
A great place to visit in summer, and can be good in winter, if you’re self sufficient (ie. you don’t need the showers) and the weather is good enough to enjoy the beach and wandering the fields.
