Barranco, Algarve, Portugal

I wake at around 08:15, and have my breakfast. It’s a beautiful sunny day at Barranco. Because of the high cliff sides, the sun takes a little time to work across the valley, and start to warm our vehicles. It is quiet again at Barranco, just a few vehicles around. The waves are small today. I spend the morning reading, writing and chatting with my friends. For lunch I cook a stir-fry.

Craig and I go in for a surf. Soon after Paul joins us. The surf is good, but soon starts to get really big. This was forecast for tomorrow, but it seems to have arrived early. We call it a day at around 16:15. The surf will be too big tomorrow. Craig and Fern are going to Lagos tonight, and Paul and I will meet them in Luz or at Cabanas tomorrow. In the evening Paul and I gather together some firewood and share our stores that led us to both being here on our trips.
