North of the resort is a aire natural (free camping spot), on the D652 road.
Hossegor
Hossegor is a bright and lively surf town. Home to several major surf competitions, the waves here are great.
Free camping in Hossegor
There are several aire de Stationnement around Hossegor, see below. Most cost €4 during peak season, and free outside of this.
There is a aire de Stationnement Pour Surfeurs just off the CD79 Le Penon – Seignosse route.
An aire de Stationnement is just south of the Seignosse Golf Club.
Another is in Hossegor just off the Route des Lacs.
There is another by the VVF surf break which becomes a surf commune during the summer.
Parking in Hossegor
There is a free car park near the town, and free parking is available near the beach.
Capbreton
Capbreton is very close to Hossegor, and a good option if you are looking to camp.

La Pointe. A little run down, but cheap campsite.
The road outside is a 800m walk to a great section of the beach for surfing. There is a near by factory or processing plant though.
La Barre
A small town, famous for its once great surfing wave, now ruined by a huge breakwater.

Aire de Camping on the car park of the Ice Hockey Rink. A couple of Euros during peaks summer, free otherwise.
Biarritz
Parking in Biarritz
Motorhomes are not permitted in many areas of Biarrtiz, as the streets are narrow. Camper vans are allowed. There are numerous places to park on the streets, mostly paid.
For free parking, panel vans, cars and camper vans can park on Avenue Note Dame, overlooking Plage de la Cote des Basques. It is just a 10 minute walk into town from here, follow the Centre Ville signs.

Aire de Camping Cars just off the Ave de Milady, opposite the turning for Plage de Marbella. Free off-season, has some electric hook-up points and water and toilet emptying facilities.

Supermarkets in Biarritz
There is a E Leclerc supermarket, with fuel, between Rue de Madrid and Avenue de la Milady, which is easily walkable from Avenue Note Dame.
Bidart
Bidart is a pretty Basque village with a great beach. Access to Biarritz and Anglet is easy.

Des Pins
A good campsite located close to Biarritz. The site has good facilities, including a swimming pool, table tennis, internet access and a bar. It is a 10 minute walk to a local beach.
La Pavilion Royal
Overlooking the local beach close to the Des Pins site. This site is more expensive than others, but the location is excellent.
Lafitenia
Hope of the amazing surfers right-hand point break.
