German, left-hand drive, diesel – UK plates. Chassis based on Mercedes 508D, 4 litre diesel, 5995kg, twin rear wheel. DVLA registered conversion.

575,000 km on clock, but replacement engine, clutch and brake refit less than 1,000 km ago. Engine and transmission flush June 2018.

11 months MOT plus 10+ years of service and MOT certificates – no mechanical problems for years! Doesn’t use oil or water. All tyre treads are very well within the legal limit.

I’ve had this amazing truck for nearly 15 years, having bought it in Germany from a friend who also lived in it for 7 years. ‘Upster’ is very much loved and a real head turner, especially at festivals! Need to sell as we soon won’t have a place to park it but mostly because my partner can’t drive anything this heavy. (If you passed your test after 1997 you’ll need an HGV licence) Will run on pure vegetable oil but I’ve only done this a few times just to see if it would do it – this was well before I changed the engine.
