I have been looking at second hand transit crew welfare vans , the sort used by railtrack and police. I reckon they might be good for converting but was wondering if anyone has used a transit and what sort of fuel consumption should I expect any advice please ?

I think they are good base
HiI think they are good base vehicles to convert from.
MPG for these sorts of vans is about 30 mpg. Some a little higher. The important thing is how you drive it.
My Sprinter gets an extra 5 mpg if I drive at 60 instead of 70.March 27, 2012 at 7:34 am #128172DarrenKeymasterHi

These vehicles sound great. The expensive stuff is already there – Windows, Heater, Hot water, Electrics……….
I’d go for one of these if it didnt need to be my everyday vehicle as well.April 28, 2012 at 12:41 pm #128184SomersetGuestThese vehicles sound great.
