hi , i have a isolator switch on my van. first, do i need to turn it off wen im running the van, so the 2 leisure batteries charge.? and i want to fit a smart charger for wen i get a 240 Huck up.will the isolator cause any problems will it have to be on or off. and one more thing how do you connect one charger to 2 batteries thanks..:)
It’s hard to say, the the isolator switch is probably there to let you disconnect the leisure batteries from the engine battery easily. Do you know if you have a split-charge relay fitted?
Your 2 leisure batteries Your 2 leisure batteries should be connected in parallel if you are running 12volts so just connect the charger to the positive of one and the negative of the other, this will ensure perfectly equal charging but you can connect to the positive and negative of just the one if you so want, if they are connected in parallel. Oh and what is huck up?
