Can anyone recommend a sat nav with European mapping which will work in my Swift coachbuilt. I am told the overhang can be a problem. Thanks.

    Hi Eric

If you place the sat nav unit near the side window of the cab you should have no problems getting a signal. I use mine in the center of the cab, and at the side, and always get a constant signal.

My favourite is the TomTom XL v2, with Western Europe maps. Big screen and all the maps for Western Europe.

For complete Europe maps the best unit is the Garmin Nuvi 255W.

But, if you are truly intrepid explorer and require worldwide maps, then the TomTom GO 940 is the best.

Thanks Darren. Presumably if I get it from Halfords they’ll make sure it works – observation, no comment needed.
