Hello all, I’m currently converting a MK7 low roof Transit. i had alot of mental strain trying to keep the ceiling removable on my previous coversion (Vauxhall Combo Day Van). I came up with an idea that worked but wasn’t perfect. You can see what I did on my profile. But what would of been perfect for the Combo are these things called rivnuts, rivet nuts or blind nuts.
With these you Simply drill a hole and the nut rivets itself in possition.Im so chuffed ive found them ive been after a solution for a long time.
Heres a video that shows you what they do.
Ive used them for every thing removable seats, ceiling and side pannels.
