painting a van

Hi,

I have bought a van a plan to paint in.. (in a decorative semi-hippy style)

I am a newbie to this so wanted to ask advice on how to go about it..

this maybe a silly question, but is it possible to get a particular type of special paint that can be rollered/paint-brushed on and won’t flake off/fade too much or do i need to use a spraycan?

But issue is that we are being pretty specific with colors and dont neccessarly expect to find a straight from the can spray colour, and also arent looking to make it look too shiny etc.. its more an organic ‘hippy’ type feel.

overall we want a matt finish and lots of choice of paint colours/mix our own…

once decided on the paint, what are the general steps to take..?

any advice would be much appreciated

I think the name/ make of paint that comes up alot is Tekaliod [ spell ? ]
