    hi to you all i,m looking for some info. i wish to install a 3 way fridge but only run it on 12v or 240 but not gas will i need to have the exhaust post on the side of the van? the fridge will be behind the seats with a open back to the unit/cupboard

    You still really need to have
    You still really need to have the cooling vents even for 12v and 240v. 2 way fridges need a cooling vent at the bottom to let cool are in, and a cooling vent at the top to let hot air out.

    If there is reasonable airflow you could get away without the cooling vents.

    Something to keep in mind is that the frige will use lots of power on 12v. Gas is the best power source when not on hookup, 12v is only for when driving.
