    HI All,

Ive just bought a Ford transit Luton to convert.

My plan is to get the insulation and skylights in first of all.

I’m on a budget so thought:

25mmx50mm batterns with 25mm kingspan for flooring and walls, foil taped to seal.

Then eco foil bubble insulation for door and roof.

    Any thoughts?

I want it to be a stealth build so thought, 3 x 40x40cm rooflights. It is however a thin fibreglass body, Would this be ok to fit rooflights? Any links on how to do it? Or any better suggestions?

    Cheers!

    Hi drspeedo
    Hi drspeedo

All of your suggestions sound good.
You could add some thin extra plywood to the ceiling to make it sturdier.

The ceeling is fibreglass. Really we wanted to cut two holes for skylights in it before we insulated. Do you think it would be strong enough as I dont have much experience with this?

What do you reckon. 12mm Ply for the floor and 6mm for the walls etc?

    If the roof fibreglass is
If the roof fibreglass is think I think you’ll need to add another layer of plywood to strengthen it. Maybe add a skin of 6mm to the ceiling.

12mm for the floor, and 6mm for the walls sounds good.
