Electrics question

I have just bought a Toyota Hiace minibus with a wheelchair lift at the rear which I am going to remove, it will still have the electric supply that powered the hydraulic pump, if I connect this to a leisure battery will it be charged as the engine is running or will I have to connect it to a Zigg unit?

This is very difficult to know without inspecting it.
I suspect it will not charge a leisure battery, as you really need a split charge relay system to do this.
If you are unsure I would check with a mechanic or engineers.

Cheers Darren that’s what I thought as well, it will be useful though with a 12V power supply at the rear, I think that I will connect it up to a twin cig lighter adapter and be able to run a coolbox off it while I am driving.
