GuestHi
HiGreat to hear of your adventures.
In short, yes, this trip is possible.
Last time I looked into this, the problem was crossing Burma, as vehicles could not do this. I read of a motorbike rider who shipped his bike across Burma. But the situation is changing in Burma, so it may be possible to drive across by the time you get there. Here is an amazing story of Otto, a G Wagen that was driven around the world.

A good TV program to research is Long Way Round, where Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman ride motorcycles around the world. This programs gives an insight to the remoteness of many of the countries, the problems with visas and border crossings.

Participanthey billy, I was planning something similar..
But my dream probably will not manifest for another 4 years.I’m a little concerned about the purchase of a campervan.
I’ve looked at http://www.gumtree.com/ http://www.ebay.co.uk/ etc etc.
I figure it’s best to purchase in UK because of the language.Would you be interested in having a companion traveler for 2-5 days?
I can definitely make it worth your while by paying all the gas that week.
I have a USA license. [email protected].January 26, 2015 at 1:51 am #115707nestor
