I am fitting a split charge relay. Can anyone tell me what type of cable is best to wire from the relay to the leisure battery and from the vehicle battery to a 12v zig unit.

Normally one would recommend 16mm2 cable between batteries and a relay. 16mm2 is typically the big cable you will find on the engine battery. But, you need to check the connections on the relay and the zig unit. If they will only accept 8mm cable, then use 8mm. If they will accept 16mm, then use that. If you use 16mm you’ll get better battery charging.October 12, 2012 at 5:17 pm #121217DarrenKeymasterNormally one would recommend
