I have t2 1972 camper bus. It is in sound, untouched and in remarkable condition (only had 3 owners) All so has original log book filled in to 1982. Trouble is the engine is shot!! Should I sell it as is or invest in a new engine?
If so how much would it cost to replace the engine and where should i go?? I live in Gloucestershire.

  1. Ur Van
Hi there, have u sorted your van or would you like to sell it??

  2. I think it is better to get
I think it is better to get the engine changed. You can get it fixed or buy a brand new one for it quite easily.
If it’s the original engine it might be worth getting it fixed. Collectors of these vans love to have the orignal parts. That’s assuming the rest of te bus is fairly original.

I think it’s worth asking around at the VW camper forums. The guys there will def give specialist advice.

    1. RE Selling T2 1972 Camper
      Darren,
Thank you for your help and advice. I do believe it is the original engine, its a very ‘non messed with van’. Will look further in to it and ask at the forums.
      Many thanks
