1969 Early Bay VW camper for sale £14999

This is our amazing 1969 early bay window VW camper Van. It is time to start looking for our own house so with deep regret my girlfriend and I are selling our pride and joy.

The van is a Californian import which means it has spent the vast majority of its life in a hot dry environment, any one who understands VW campers knows this means great body work and nearly zero rust in all the most important places. This also means the van is left hand drive, don’t let this put you off, after a couple of hours of driving you will be fine. Being LHD the van is amazing for touring in Europe but so easy to drive here in the UK.

We have had the camper for the last five years and have had very little work done, new fuel filter, new exhaust box, new battery and the normal engine tune ups. It comes with 10/11 months MOT and tax (exempt). There is some minor rust around the window chrome and some one the hubs.

The inside of the van is all set up for long or short camping trips. You will have a rock and roll bed that is amazingly comfortable and easily fits two people with loads of space. We also have a cupboard where you can store all the camping necessaries. The van comes with a built in speakers system and large and loud speakers build underneath the bed. The front seats are original brown leather, the drivers seat is adjustable for different height users. The dashboard is original and the previous owners installed a oil temperature gauge that is really useful.

Anyone who sees this van is blown away by its condition, it is hard to believe it is over 40 years old. Buying classic motors can be a difficult risky business if you do not get a vehicle that is in great condition right down to the core. When buying a VW most people think that the engine is the most important thing, while a good engine is important (ours is ultra reliable) the main thing to look for is body condition.
