First registered here so long ago (5years) that I’ve long lost my login details.
Now I have actually got a van, for conversion, and have it insulated and have been away with it – as a day van only as I write.
Should have done it years ago… I might have spent 50 hours doing it up so far, but I have saved about 2 hours in packing/unpacking time for trips so far. Cycling and mountaineering for 2 people requires a lot of kit!
Will post piccies up in due course.
Big thanks to forum posters, and the site in general, as it has alrady been hugely valuable in helping me make the right decisions on the insulation project.
BTW: Is 50 hours to Soundproof (flashbanding), Inusulate and ply-line slow going? I Was using celotec boards that I had in garage from loft insulation. This was 30mm thick and I used two layers, cut to fit into all the panels and boxed sections and neatly around windows…except for the floor – which is bubble wrapped to save headroom.

Great to hear you progressing with your van.
The first van takes ages to do, unless you are an experienced tradesman.
It sounds like you’ve done a great job, so don’t worry about how long it has taken.
