Hi we have just bought a very old renault traffic auto sleeper we use it to go see bands at weekends and sleep over in pub car parks and were loving it,but has it is getting a little chilly now we were wondering if any one could tell us how we could run some kind of night heater we could run on 12 volt electrics please x

hi im steve . I have the same sized camper , and i bought a little portable gas fire that takes a small spay can sized gas bottle. i put it on for half an hour or so just before bed time or while im up i leave it on min setting works a treat. 12v heaters arent great, as they use quite a lot of power. If you’re running it from a leisure battery then it’s not such a big problem.
If you want a small one just to take the chill off, then perhaps consider this one, which other people have reported is OKLike spc says, there are small gas heaters that are cheap, and warm a small van area quickly.
But important note: Unvented (i.e. cheap) gas heaters generate carbon monoxide in the living area of your van. You must open a window when using the gas heater, or else you can get carbon monoxide poisoning. - AuthorPosts
