I removed the EGR valve and cleaned it. I go through the removal and cleaning of the EGR (with clear photographs) in my latest post on my website (cant post links on here for some reason)
It’s worth checking but it could be anything really including fuel filter, leak, pump.
Ldv 400 dim headlamps The brights and low beam on my LDV are very low. If I pull the light lever towards me the full beam is fine but this is just the flasher. I imagine that the bulbs are good because I can flash on high beam so is there a way to adjust the brightness? There is a vertices disk that the lights are wired into under the hood. Could this be the adjustment setting?

1995 LDV 400 Convoy My LDV Has been unused for a few months and appears to be having power issues.it starts and idles fine but sometimes go to accelerate under load and it loses power, then 30 seconds later it starts up again. Could u advise what might be causing this problem? Engine has only done 21,500 miles. Many thanks, Ken.
I had similar problem with a I had similar problem with a ford escort. Problem turned out to be the fuel filter in the fuel tank that was jamming up against the end of the pipe in the tank which takes the fuel out to the engine. This happened when accelerating or driving at speed when the fuel is being drawn out faster. I removed the filter and put an addition filter in line to the engine to stop muck getting through. I also drained and flushed the tank, which got rid of all the accumulated muck.

The link above also has some people selling the paper books if you want the real thing. Be careful to check you are getting the book for your model, as the Convoy changed engines and transmission quite a bit.
