Hello I’m looking for an insurance policy which won’t break the bank. It would be for a 1996 Peugeot Boxer 2.5l that was professionally converted by RV Phoenix 3 years ago. I’m female, over 35 with no convictions (but live in London). So far, the only quote I can find is over £800! Can anyone recommend some companies that aren’t going to bleed me dry?
I just took out a self-build I just took out a self-build policy which covers me for the vehicle as it is now and after up to three months as a camper van so I have up to 3 months to convert and re-register it. Fully comp it was only £305 for my husband and me to drive (LDV minibus). Insurance choice 0844 55 77 600
Insurance for van to campervan conversion We’re converting a Mercedes Sprinter 311 van to a camper for a 3 month trip round europe.
I just got a quote from Insurance choice in the above post. Wow, well chuffed – £257 fully comp, and no need to re-register. Also, they’re not asking for any proof or engineers certs. And there’s a max 90 days euro cover included, so my 3 month trip will be covered. Mind you, me and other half are in our 40’s now, so maybe that helped!
Now just gotta suss out breakdown for the trip!
Thanks for advice above – looks like we’re sorted and no need for hassle of re-registering. But we might still get the utilities checked for peace of mind.
