Just back from campervan trip to France/NW Spain. Easy run down to Basque country, but in towns hard to get parking as a lot of it is underground so height barrier. Beautiful part of spain, mountains, clean lovely beaches with surf, great food, friendly people.
Camp sites full but have an "Aires" system of free parking for campervans. Break-ins and theft common, few policemen around, hard to find a police station. Seems to be more risky than France so need to be very security aware.
