    TeeCee.. glad you’ve
TeeCee.. glad you’ve clarified the window filament and placement. What’s confusing is that when says they want to install windows in their van conversion is that most of use thing we’re installing the custom replacements used to fit the blanks around a van which could have had windows but they were left out.
In this case.. and based on your description of the window you want to have installed in your van.. One must pre-cut the opening as to allow for the window/s. test fit then panel the van. Once the insulation and paneling has been installed (leaving the installation out of the window area.. one can saw-all the panel open around the window, then install the window.

One great reference would be to watch how mobile homes are manufactured.. Again the build up the trailer’s exterior and interior then cut out the areas for the windows or other openings. Seems rather wasteful. But this is how it’s done.

    Image Posting Errors
Steve, I’ve tested several HTML/Codes just to see if the images can be displayed from the post or from an off site storage setup. None of these image codes worked for me.. But you’re working with a loaded hand from the beginning.. None of the Photobucket codes actually work anywhere and not just this site.. Disregard the generated code from PB. Try this instead.. open the image, then highlight the image location which should be in the URL slot/browser slot at the top of the page.. The code in the browser slot should look something like this and end with the .jpg etc..

    http://www.photobucket.com/picture-8769-1400876944.jpg

And although I tried this type of code as well.. it’s not working here either way. I’ve submitted a request to the host of this site in order to have these issues corrected or have the forum software changed/updated.. if you want to see changes done and errors fixed, please report them to the host via the contact link at the bottom of the page. Assuming someone will get this message.. the forum and pages have not been updated since last year.

    I agree with Darren.. the
I agree with Darren.. the smaller or miniCargo vans just do not offer enough room or clearance to have captains chairs or the swivel around seats. which is fine with us. However, if you move up to the larger Ford Transit (not the Connect) van.. I believe one can get away with having the swivel seats as well as having 4 wheel drive and diesel engines.

As for the rear seating arrangement, again I believe the rear seats can be folded down so that they can be used as beds in the back of the van.. which can work in your favor.. meaning that there is about a 2 foot clearance (give or take which van you’ve purchased) under each bench seat that can allow for storage options.

At one point I’ve seen one fellow create a whole sliding table arrangement which slides out the rear doors and opens up to allow for a verity of options or configurations for those camping or tailgating.

    One Off Setup
    Evening OneLittle..

The images above are what’s known as a one off setup or a custom build cabinet van. and if you or I had the talent to do something like this ourselves.. we’d probably be rich by now. It is a shame that the builder/designer of this type of cabinetry didn’t think ahead as to offer a template for those of us who would like to create something like this for our vans, It’s best left to a cabinet marker in your area or just a person who is real handy with wood working.

Though I personally don’t agree with the use of wood and not because I’m a tree hugger, but because this adds weight to the van.. we need to think outside the box when using or creating cabinet of storage options for our vans. Search for lighter materials when creating your cabinetry or storage options and find that cabinet marker and see what you both can create as a rolling showcase.
