Okay, so I nearly ready to go. Just got a few small jobs(building work)to finish of when it’s stopped raining!
So where should I go? I have a plan of crossing from Plymouth to Roscoff then heading down the French coast then around the coast of Spain and Portugal anti clock wise. May head inland to Madrid also but undecided.
I have seen a few photo’s on here of places that I will check out but am looking for people’s ideas as to places not to miss!
I love being by the sea and enjoy walking (not hiking!) so any input from experienced travellers would be great.
Also what does everyone cook on their camping stoves? I have a 2 burner stove and grill so simple food is what i’m looking for and easy ingredients to store!
I look forward to hearing your replies.July 5, 2012 at 8:45 pm #122921DarrenKeymasterHi Si

Hi SiHere are my favourite places:
France:
Dune de Pyla – Amazing massive dune amazing campsites
Biarritz – old historic town with good Aire
Hossegor and Capbreton – nice towns with good Aires, lots of other nice towns around.Spain:
Whole north coast has gems of places to stay.
Galicia is great in summer
Andalucia is great, I like Conil and El Palmar.
Barcelona is a great city. We stay in Sitges which is a lovely town, popular with gay people, historic and great beach, easy bus or train to Barcelona.Portugal:
Loads of nice towns and beaches on the way down.
Alentejo is lovely and quiet.
Algarve is lovely on the western coast, a built built up on the southern coast, although Tavira is a great place to stop.Gibraltar is a fun place to visit. Leave the van in Spain though, secured.
