What things do you really love to find in your van when you didn’t know you would have need to pack it?

Certain times i have been away someplace and have been doing whatever when something has come up and i have realised that i just happened to have just-the-thing in my van for the situation. I would like to keep having these things in the van and would love to hear of your favorite objects/things/tools/items to have just for the off chance.

Hears some ones i can remember:
i had a penguin costume when we got stuck in the snow and had to walk 5 miles.
Some big outdoor candles.
firelighters for when you’ve given up.
Plastic bags and sellotape to make into a waterproof shoe.
loads of socks that everyone else needed.
An umbrella.
A rope to make a swing with.
Various chargers.
A knife,
a belt,
Super noodles,
salt pepper,
chilly sauce
and a bottle of whisky left out of sight.
