I’m single. 55 years old. Female. Have always dreamt of owning a camper van one day. But am scared to set off on my maiden voyage,on my own! I’m worried about parking, and height restrictions. Only looking to hire one for a week first to see how it goes, but then I’m worried about where do I park at night etc, would you recommend camp sites? Would you rule out lay-bys? Really dubious about taking the plunge. I don’t know why, when I was younger I would of jumped at the chance!!
Would welcome anyone’s comments.
I live in Norfolk, so loads of places to explore, close to home.
Thanks

Do you plan to live in your van or just use it occasionally?
Campsites offer a more relaxed experience especially overnight.
Definitely hire a van first to see how you like the experience.
Height restrictions are quite straight forward. Just measure the height of your van first and have it written down in the cab.January 10, 2022 at 5:01 am #156874[email protected]ParticipantHI thomas just bought a transit to convert to a camper where do I start can anyone help
